About Chasing Stars: The Akshaya Patra Foundation presents a story that echoes from a lesser known region of Northeast India, Kashirampara (Tripura), where the Great India Talent School provides free education to more than 500 children of the Reang (Bru) Tribe. In this film, the Reang children share their meaningful dreams and embark on a new and an unforgettable journey to Bangalore as a part of the Great India Talent Foundation’s (GITF) National Integration Project. About the Great India Talent Foundation (GITF): The Great India Talent Foundation (GITF), which was instituted in 2016, is an endeavour to provide quality education to enable holistic development of children and communities of rural India. Today, the first Great India Talent School (GITS) in Kashirampara, Tripura, serves more than 500 children from Reang (Bru) community residing in the makeshift camps of the North-Eastern state. The school provides free education, text books, uniform, shoes and school lunch to children of Reang community. The initiative is ably supported by The Akshaya Patra Foundation.
